More sedentary time was associated with a higher risk of dry eye disease (DED), particularly for people whose physical activity (PA) levels were below WHO limits. Screen use, however, could account for the observed link and should be emphasized as a potential main confounder since there was no significant association when computer-intensive sitting time was eliminated.

Hatha yoga was the foundation of most yoga styles, and Iyengar or chair-based methods were frequently used. Measures of gait speed, handgrip strength, balance, lower-extremity strength and endurance, and multicomponent physical performance were used as single-item frailty markers; no studies included a validated definition of frailty.

In the study, 1,400 individuals were assessed multiple times between ages of 36 and 69 for level of physical activity. They were quantified as not active, moderately active, and most active. Cognition measurements in later life showed a dose-response relationship between sustained levels of physical activity and later-life cognition status.
