Clinical Considerations
- Most yeast isolates were recovered from bloodstream infections, while mold isolates primarily originated from respiratory samples.
- Resistance rates to azoles and echinocandins were generally low across the surveyed pediatric pathogens.
- Isavuconazole and voriconazole demonstrated comparable activity against Aspergillus fumigatus isolates.
- Against non-Aspergillus molds, isavuconazole, posaconazole, and amphotericin B demonstrated the most favorable activity profiles.
