Neurologic complications of COVID are leading to an increase in demand for both acute and long-term neurologic evaluation and management. The Sartor, et al randomized controlled trial (RCT), which demonstrated a significant improvement in radiographic progression-free survival and overall survival (OS) in patients with PSMA-positive mCRPC, served as the foundation for the 177Lutetium-PSMA-617 (177Lu-PSMA-617) March 2022 approval. The availability of this theranostic option served as a compelling argument for revising the 2014 proposal to include a prompt endorsement of 177Lu-PSMA-617. Among doctors and researchers, the 2010 and 2017 versions of the European LeukemiaNet (ELN) recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adults are broadly accepted. Researchers now have a better understanding of how AML develops from a molecular perspective, which has led to an update on the classification of the disease. Additionally, genomic diagnostics and the evaluation of measurable residual disease have advanced significantly, and new therapeutic agents like FLT3, IDH1, IDH2, and BCL2 inhibitors have been developed successfully. This update, which contains updated response criteria, therapy suggestions, and a revised ELN genetic risk classification, is a result of these developments.

All vaccines are expected to be quadrivalent. Included in the update are expanded approval for Flucelvax Quadrivalent, administration adjustments for Afluria Quadrivalent, and higher dose vaccines for those 65 years old and older.

These recommendations “attempt to provide practical guidance for clinicians and patients regarding the use of nonstatin therapies to further reduce ASCVD risk in situations not covered by the guideline until such time as the scientific evidence base expands.”

The USPSTF comes to the conclusion that statin use has at least a moderate net benefit for adults aged 40 to 75 who have no prior history of CVD, at least one CVD risk factor, and an estimated 10-year CVD event risk of 10% or greater. There is at least a marginal net benefit from using statins to prevent CVD events and all-cause mortality in adults aged 40 to 75 who have no prior history of CVD, at least one of these risk factors, and an estimated 10-year CVD event risk of 7.5% to less than 10%. Still, is the evidence enough?
