Medical Professionals Reference (MPR)Novel LSD Formulation Significantly Improves Anxiety Symptoms

🧠 Mental Health / Behavioral Sensitivity

Interest in psychedelic-assisted psychiatry continues to expand beyond depression and PTSD. Topline results from the phase 3 VOYAGE trial reported sustained anxiety symptom improvement following a single dose of DT120, a proprietary lysergide orally disintegrating tablet, in adults with generalized anxiety disorder.

Clinical Considerations

  • HAM-A scores improved significantly more with DT120 than placebo at 12 weeks (−11.6 vs −6.2).
  • Clinical improvement was reported as early as day 2 and persisted throughout the double-blind period.
  • The reported treatment effect was large (Cohen’s d = 0.81) relative to placebo.
  • Findings are currently based on company-reported topline results, with full peer-reviewed analyses not yet available.

Practice Applications

  • Recognize DT120 as an emerging psychedelic therapy under late-stage clinical evaluation.
  • Interpret efficacy findings within the limitations of topline reporting.
  • Monitor publication of full trial data and regulatory developments.
  • Consider current findings an early signal rather than established standard-of-care evidence.
