This review presents the evidence and outlines the causes of discrimination and suggests solutions.
This summary of a recent French study highlights that patients enabled to infuse apomorphine at home improved QoL more quickly and became more autonomous in managing the device compared with a hospital infusion group. The findings could be helpful to patients who would benefit from continuous subcutaneous apomorphine infusion (CSAI) but are deterred “by the wait for an appointment and the length of the subsequent hospital stay, as well as the physical distance from the nearest specialist center.”

In a study originally published in Multiple Sclerosis and Related Disorders, alemtuzumab infusion resulted in significantly improved MS-COG scores in the patients evaluated after 12 months, with scores improving from an initial mean of -0.36, to 0.61.

Risks for ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, MI, and pulmonary embolism were all lower for older patients receiving a bivalent vaccine booster versus the monovalent vaccine. The results “provide reassurance regarding the continued use of this bivalent vaccine.”
